This was a tough competition!!
For this competition the aim is to fly as long and stay as low as you can. You’ll need to find the right balance between power and weight. To help you with this challenge you are able to use the Long Wing and Gravity Bomb mod, available HERE, as well as using the standard parts.
To make this more challenging I have created the simple formula of s = (T x D) – A³, meaning the higher you go the more penalised you get. The aim is to get the highest score by staying low for the longest time possible.
Worded formula: score = (total time (in seconds) x ground distance covered ) – Highest Altitude³
How To Enter
1. You need to take a screenshot and/or video of your flight. The screenshot must show your flight results (with the 3 elements visible in the summary on the right-hand side).
IMPORTANT: Your flight must last more than 1 minute and 30 seconds to count.
2. Use a picture hosting service to upload your photo such as Flickr or Photobucket or if you record a video of your attempt, use a video hosting service such as Youtube to upload your video.
3. Post your picture, or a link to your picture/video in the comments section below. For pictures you can use the tags <@img src="PICTURE URL HERE" /> – just removed that @ symbol first
4. Redesign and go back to step 1.

Competition closes 26th August so you have plenty of time to perfect your spacecrafts and flights.

I’m finding this challenge near impossible, due to the A to the power of 3 means that I’m always posting a minus number.
Anyone having any luck?
It is difficult, I’m finding it pretty hard as well.

I’m starting the think that the power of 3 is a little too much but hey, it’s a challenge after all!!
it’s the power to 3 which is killing me.
personally I don’t think it’s possible.
i am also getting alot of negitive numbers u almost have to fly 20000m under 100m alt in 90 sec to not get a negitive number
Since this is turning out to be a tough challenge I’ll extend the deadline for another 7 days.
The Real Reason:because I haven’t been able to do it myself yet :s
