Parachutes allowed, or is that cheating? New here and don’t know the customs.

Revised time of 03:33, added an RCS module which let me do a retro-burn to lower my apokee to just over 15,000 m and do some fine-tuning on landing.

No video this time, but proofs:

    Proof of apokee

Shot taken immediately after landing to show MET

Taken four seconds later, showing the stack safely landed. Note altitude is the same as the last shot, proving that the stack was landed at 03:33.

02:49. LM ascent engine and tank substantially reduce the weight that has to be boosted, and can still get you down whole. Sometimes. If you’re careful.

Apokee was a little high- okay, it was a lot high- but even on other trials where I hit it closer the stack didn’t perform more than a couple seconds better overall. Mostly impacted how much fuel margin I had before things got interesting.

Apologies for not approving your posts earlier. There was quite a bit of spam coming through so I was trying to get rid off all the rubbish before approving your posts.

Thanks for sticking with me though :-)
